Recently, The Combustion Institute announced the list of 2025 Fellows of The Combustion Institute. Professor Zhuyin Ren from Institute for Aero Engine at Tsinghua University was elected in recognition of his outstanding contributions to "the development of advanced algorithms and combustion models, as applied to high-fidelity turbulent combustion simulations."
Founded in 1954, The Combustion Institute is the most authoritative international academic organization in the field of combustion science. It hosts the International Symposium on Combustion every two years, the largest, highest-level, and most influential academic conference in the field, and publishes the top-tier academic journal *Proceedings of the Combustion Institute*. The title of Fellow of The Combustion Institute is a lifetime honor established to recognize distinguished scientists worldwide who have made exceptional contributions to combustion science. This year, a total of 20 scientists received this honor.

Prof. Zhuyin Ren received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in 2006. He has been a Professor at Tsinghua University since 2013. His research interests include turbulent combustion modeling and high-fidelity simulations, and energy and propulsion systems. Prof. Ren has published over 100 SCI papers. Currently, he is also an Associate Fellow of AIAA, associate editor of Journal of Propulsion and Power, and an editorial member of Combustion Theory and Modelling.
